As men in health we believe that if a man is health he will give life to the whole family and when that happens there is peace in the family and in the community. In our logo the blue from men represents health and if men are healthy, he gives life to the child and the mother which is represented by the green. The white covering the logo represents peace in the family and in the community.
What is Men in Health
It is non-profit making organisation targeting all men in on issues that affect the health of men, their families and their partner. It is a goal directed and evidence based organisation addressing all the major health and social needs of all segments of men. The organisation believes that the health of men affects the overall health of the family and the wider and thus a health father also means a heath family.
Objectives
- To make men of all ages proactive about their health through the power of information, outreach clinics and platforms to discuss social ills issues that directly affect them, their families and the environment.
- To ensure effective communication with men by utilising Interpersonal communications strategies such as one on one, road shows, website, newsletters; community video watching, trainings; encouraging networking and sharing information.
- To promote a healthy lifestyle and safety for men in different environments and reduced unintended accidents.
- To provide introductory Workplace men’s Health and Safety briefings and training to reduce the adverse impacts of generations gap among men.
- To be the hub men’s health issues that affects them, their partners, family and the community
- To collaborate with other organisation in fighting the social ills without destroying the positive traditional social fabric.
- To provide credible research based information on policy inputs regarding men’s health issues and the benefits engaging men on health matters.
